It is one of those devices that's infamously good, and makes my list of amazing devices that are the most versatile to use. No matter what game mode you are building, you will be able to find a use for the Player Counter Device! It's just that great!

Here are Two Helpful Tips on How You Can Use the Player Counter Device
1 | USE IT TO DISABLE/ENABLE MATCHMAKING Keeping your games full can be challenging, especially if you have an ongoing game mode that contains mini-games. And by mini game mode, I mean a game in which players have access to play multiple games at set times and when they they are finished with that game, the round ends and they are transported to your game lobby to wait for the next game. You could use the Player Counter device to count how many active players are in your game lobby. Set it to a target amount of your choosing, if the count fails, have it enable matchmaking on the round setting device, if the count succeeds, have it disable matchmaking. Set this process to a timer each round and there you have it! You will be able to matchmake players in by the round, but stop matchmaking once the game starts!

Let's say for instance you have a free for all map wih a 1v1 area that you want to be private for 2 players. You can use the Player Counter Device to monitor that area and send out signals to alert others when that area is full or has an opening! In addition, it can also be useful when players can choose their own teams, like on a 2v2 or 3v3 game mode. You can use the Player Counter Device to display the number of players within a specific team or class. Players will then know which team is full and can make the choice to choose another.
