Did you catch it? Epic has recently shared a Q&A session on the Official Fortnite Creative Discord regarding some of the upcoming features and improvements for the game! All questions derived from the community and boy did we ask a lot of questions!
HIGHLIGHTS
Here are some of the most exciting highlights from the Creator Community Q&A!
• A "delete project" feature is in design, allowing creators to delete their published maps.
• The "playtesting" feature is in design, which will allow playtesters and view-only members for teams on Creator Portal.
• Epic Games is working on expanding eligibility for engagement payouts to creators under the age of 18.
• New devices are coming to UEFN, and Epic will continue to add new features that can be used in both Creative and UEFN.
• Epic is actively working on providing better tools to understand memory usage and looking at ways to increase what's available.
• The team is exploring ways to allow creators to implement their own custom controls, cameras, movement, and behaviors for the player character.
• Epic is interested in adding custom weapons to UEFN, but they can't provide a specific date at this time.
• The team is working on more fixes for the animation controller in Verse, and plans to allow Fortnite devices to be created purely through verse script.
