FNC & UEFN PATCH NOTES v25.20

New Devices
New devices have been added including Grind Vines and Wild Pod Plants from Battle Royale’s Wild Season, and the Item Shop Portal device. This new device allows players to access the Item Shop without leaving your island!
The Barrier, Beacon, and Prop-O-Matic devices have been enhanced with new options and functions, offering more control and customization for creators. The Barrier device, for instance, now includes options to allow certain players or teams to pass through barriers, enhancing the tactical depth of your games!
Update to Content in UEFN
You will find that our Creative Inventory and UEFN Content Browser have been updated with new weapons, consumables, and assets, including the Explosive Repeater Weapon and Slap Splash Consumable.
Upgraded Devices
Additionally, they have provided an important reminder about an upcoming change - soon, Creative islands will start using upgraded devices by default. These upgraded devices offer numerous enhancements over the original devices, such as direct numerical input, color pickers, and additional features on some devices. If you are a Fortnite 1.0 Creator, you can practice with upgraded devices now by converting your island under island settings!
New Thumbnail Tile Size
Further, Epic will be updating thumbnail tile size for improved content display. There will soon be an option to upload a square thumbnail (1024x 1024) in addition to the current tile for your creations in preparation for the upcoming transition to the new size.
UEFN Updates
On the UEFN side, the Camera Rig Rail and Crane are now available in the Sequencer, and you can create custom Niagara VFX for Collectible Object devices. Verse now supports global variables, allowing you to store and access data in a global variable for each island instance.
This update also comes with an extensive list of new items for Creative and UEFN, including various prefab & gallery updates, new weapons, and more.
