New Discover Rules

Another Controversy brings even more changes to discover.

ICYMI: Last week, Twitter was exploding with creators mocking epics moderation system. Lots of maps, offering players fake vbucks, or just straight up copy pasting epic IP, somehow got past moderation.

Speechless at how stupid this platform is...Epic lets this happen before the official collab starts and puts it in the HOMEBAR. Blatant misuse of the IP. Epic Didn't Take action lightly.

After the community pointed this out... Epic took action on maps straight away. Many maps were removed for violating the rules, preventing players of the ecosystem from getting mislead.

  1. 1.7.1 Epic-Owned IP,

    Epic have clarified that you are not able to recreate epic IP such as BR season assets that are unavailable.

  2. 1.9 Play by the rules

    This rule states that you may not mislead players into favouriting your creator profile page or recommending your island.

  3. 1.14 Stay Within Spec Requirements

    All islands must be playable across all platforms supported by Fortnite.

Plus action on Squid Game Maps....

Epic have announced any squid game maps not released with squid game creative will be taken down.... They will also offer a tool allowing creators to convert existing maps to squid game maps soon... GuSIudQbEAAeyfH.jpg

Personally, I think these are huge wins for the creative community, and those who consistently follow the rules. This in turn should improve experiences. Remember, you can report an island to epic Here
