Another Week... Another Update!

V34.30 brings some awesome changes!

Matchmaking

We can now adjust how matchmaking queues behave.

TLDR: The Matchmaking server (MMS) creates a queue when a player wants to publicly matchmake if there is not already an active server. If the number of players is achieved, the server is made. If it takes too long or the requirements are not met, it is cancelled.

There are 2 phases: Main Phase: If queue fills for a full session, players are sent to a new session. If this is not completed, the MMS goes to overtime phase. Overtime Phase: A lower number of players are targeted to start a session. If this isn't possible, the queue is cancelled.

New Settings

• Main Queue Duration (s)
• Overtime Player Target
• Minimum Players

This allows player to have further control on how people join your island *These changes DO NOT apply to private matchmaking.

The Walking Dead Universe

• The Negan character is now available in the NPC spawner device.
• The Shiba Shotgun now has a flashlight
• New TWDU ambient Sound Queues

Creative Mode

Device Updates

Rift Point Volume

• New On entered/ On Exited events
• New Verse Functions: - GetAgentsInVolume - Searches for players in volume - IsAgentInVolume - Checks if players entered the volume -

Item Spawner

Changes have been added to accommodate duel mag weapons

• Initial Secondary Weapon Ammo
• Spare Secondary Weapon Ammo

Reboot Device

Players now have the option to purchase a reboot card with a currency of your choice. Therefore, new options have been added:

• Can Purchase Reboot Card (Boolean)
• Cost to purchase reboot card (integer)
• Can purchase expired reboot card (Boolean)

A On Reboot card purchased event has also been added!

Weapons

We received some more og weapons!

• Zapotron
• Guided Missile
• Dragons Breath Shotgun

Scene Graph Events!

• Scene Graph events are communication protocols that allow multiple sections of a scene graph to talk to eachother
• Multiple components of a scene event can interact with eachother, and each can be given their own hierarchy.

This is a W change! Learn even more on epic's doccumentation There is even a tutorial that goes over some best practises!

Discover Performance Analytics

Last week epic added a personalised view of a fortnite islands discover performance, once that island surpasses 5k impressions daily. This in turn helps you to make your island even better!

These analytics will be available the next day

Fall Guys Creative

• Multiplayer Previewing is now available

LEGO

• Multiplayer previewing is now been added! Mini-figure NPC’s are used to test islands here!
• New tool tips have been added!

UEFN

• Improved visualisation a new collision mesh count metric, so it can now track unique collisions
• Validation issues are now found in the “UEFN Validation” tab of the message log
