V35.00 is a huge update, and we have a lot to go through!
PHYSICS!
After years of teasers, we now have a beta physics system inside of fortnite.
Key note: Physics are an opt in feature, and islands cannot be currently published with physics enabled.
Setting "Physics" to TRUE in project settings will enable:
- A special player spawner device, to spawn a physics based character
- Special props with "Fort Physics" properties (All fortnite props are available to be physics props)
- Enables physics settings with some devices
Physical objects can be interacted by players, for example.
- Jumping in them
- Hitting them with a pickaxe
- Using "hitscan" weapons on them
Devices can even interact with physics too!
in UEFN, these devices are found inside the IExperimental Folder
Some noticeable devices are:
- Prop mover (Animated objects can react with physics)
- Sequencer (Animated objects with the sequencer wont interact with physics objects)
Verse API:
2 new endpoints were added for the volume device
PropEnterEvent and PropExitEvent
Movement:
Physics players will for now only have limited movement capability
Weapons and items
- All weapons can be used by physics characters, but only hitscan weapons affect physics props
- All items can be used, but epic warn that some may not function as intended.
⚠️ There is a known issue where changing physics settings on a prop component requires pushing changes. This will be addressed in a future release.

Time Of Day Manager
The old skydome devices have officially been archived, and replaced with the TODM device.
With this there is:
- More realistic lighting using Lumen and Nanite
- Parity with UEFN TODAM
⚠️ Islands currently using the skydome device will revert to chapter 5 lighting settings, and will not be publishable.

Matchmaking Documentation
Epic have added doccumentation, showcasing best practises on how to increase player satisfaction and player engagement, by modifying the new matchmaking settings.

AFK Players
AFK players will now be disconnected after 60 mins of inactivity.
Players should move/interact to reset this countdown.

SDF textures now have a doccumentation page, showcasing their usefullness in improving UI aesthectics.

Template Island: Conversation
There is now a conversation template island, inside of the UI area. This showcases how to use the conversation device in your islands, to work with NPC's!
New Rule: Music Lyrics
Subrule 1.15.8 has now been added to the creator rules. It means that lyrics in music, must now align with your islands age rating.
Thumbnail A/B testing
A/B testing thumbnails has now been added to the creator portal, under the publishing tab.
A/B testing allows you to compare analytics with different thumbnails, and therefore you can work out which one preforms the best.

New Discover Row
The Popular creators in your region has now been added. It populates itself based on recommendations from players playing maps.
Content Browser
- You can now find recently used devices/content on the home page
- A display empty ammo slots setting as now been added.
- Flashlight is now supported in first person

- Creators can now disable grinding when a player walks over the rail.
- New settings to control grinding directions

- Bank Vault/ Vault Vehicle:
- New functionality to destroy/restore weak points

- New option to allow them to be used as elim cams. When enabled, it will be used when a player is eliminated

UI + Scenegraph
- Support added for the dragging widget + viewmodel properties in the bindings list
- Scrolling text support fro the UEFN Text block
- ON Selected and On Unselected added for UEFN Buttons
- Added support for duplicating viewmodel bindings in UMG Editor.
- Scenegraph now supports a specilised text widget in the scene outliner.
- Scenegraph now has the option to set the `Receives`` property on decals
LEGO
- NPC guards can now equip the sword
- Several Bug Fixes
TWDU
- You can now select a colour for the prisoner walker's jumpsuit
- An option has been added to block applying the Walker's damage over time effect if a player is bitten while shielded.
- Lucielle's Damage has been buffed:
- Range of Primary Attack Increased (to 140 from 128)
- Damage of Primary Attack Increased (to 75 from 70)
- Damage of Heavy Attack Increased (to 180 from 150)
