Vbuck Prices have officially changed!

With the launch of the new season on Friday, 20th March 2026 – fortnite for the first time in history decided to increase the prices of vbucks!
Instead of increasing the price of the vbuck packs, epic opted for shrinkflation. You now get less vbucks for your money

The New Prices

The Battle Pass

The battle pass now costs 800 vbucks instead of 1000 vbucks (previously 950 pre 2025) – But now gives 800 vbucks back (instead of 1500).
There have also been updated costs to the OG Pass, Lego Pass and Music Pass

Fortnite Crew
Fortnite Crew subscribers will now only get 800 vbucks per month – instead of 1000.
The Impact On Creators
Creators may see decreased spending in UEFN maps from players due to the increased cost of vbucks – which as a result could affect how many in game transactions players complete.
However, this may see creator’s engagement payouts to be increased, due to the increased likelihood of players buying more vbucks than they previously would have in the past to afford cosmetics.
The Reason
Fortnite have stated that the cost of running Fortnite as a game has increased in recent years due to inflation and this change is needed “to help pay the bills”.
The Communities Reaction
The vbucks price increase has seen an overwhelming negative reaction from the community over on twitter.

As a creator, I am quite disappointed in the approach taken here. I feel a real money increase in the cost of vbucks would have been a much better approach than shrinking the vbuck packs.
That’s it for this one!
